Moneybox raises £7m in crowdfund round

Savings and investments app Moneybox has completed a £7 million crowdfunding round in just two days.

A total of 16,738 investors participated in the round, making it one of the most successful to have been launched on CrowdCube.

The company said it is planning to use the funds to fuel further growth and build its tools, technology and products.

The crowdfund comes after it announced reaching £1 billion in assets and securing £30 million from professional investors in a Series C funding round.

Ben Stanway, co-founder of Moneybox, said: “Securing this funding enables us to continue to build the products, tools and technology to help people achieve their goals easily - whether it’s buying a house, saving for retirement or just a rainy day.”
