As financial services firms deal with ever growing mountains of data, the volume of new information is matched only by growth in the regulation designed to protect it.

But as compliance challenges multiply, incumbent institutions are finding that disconnected stores of archived data have become siloed and difficult to access with the speed or accuracy needed for compliance with regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Anti-Money Laundering rules and the Senior Managers and Certification Regime.

With the risk of fines and associated reputational damage rising, a transformative approach to data governance and management is needed before the regulator comes knocking. In addition, a lack of data visibility and even lower rates of data intimacy - a deep understanding of the data in an organisation and how it can be monetised - is also holding businesses back from unlocking value.

This roundtable will explore how firms can achieve ‘data maturity’, understanding where the data lives and utilising it to improve customer experience and internal insights.
