In order to survive and thrive, financial services firms know they need a business technology strategy that protects their organisation, aids profitability, and allows them to meet and exceed the demands of their customers.

In an era of cost pressures that means delivering more for less. It means leveraging developments in technology, including data-driven innovation, to help deliver better products and services to gain and maintain competitive advantage.

DORA is likely to focus minds on these interlocking themes, encompassing issues as diverse as cloud concentration risks, attack protection, and the introduction of dedicated clean rooms where data can be restored to avoid detection .

Some organisations are prepared for DORA’s arrival, many others are not. For those doing business in the UK and Europe, the clock is ticking.
