Andrew Woeber joins Barclays

Barclays has announced the appointment of Andrew K. Woeber as global head of mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

Woeber has over 25 years of experience advising leading global companies on transactions across sectors.

He joins Barclays from independent investment advisory services firm Centerview where he was partner and led c-suite coverage and strategic transactions for several large companies across a broad range of industries.

Woeber has also held leadership roles at Greenhill & Co. and Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career, he was a corporate lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, where he focused primarily on M&A.

Woeber will report to Cathal Deasy and Taylor Wright, global co-heads of investment banking.
He will be based in New York and join the investment banking management team.

“At Barclays, we believe that strategic advisory forms the foundation of many of our most valued and long-standing client relationships, while also serving as an attractive and fee-based franchise for the Investment Bank” said Deasy. “Andrew is a proven leader with an extensive track record of advising senior executives and boards on significant transactions.

“We are excited to have him lead our global M&A franchise.”
