CaixaBank has said it is using the metaverse to raise awareness about the environment.
As part of World Earth Day, customers visiting the bank’s "all in one" centres in Ibiza, Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid will be able to take virtual tours in forests and beaches.
The bank says its all in one concept combines design, technology and expert advice to provide an “exceptionally unique customer experience”.
Its centre in Madrid has a team of 130 professionals specialising in a number of areas, including premier banking, private banking, self-employed workers and companies.
Between 20 and 27 April, customers will be able to complete challenges which are designed to show the importance of taking care of the environment.
Additionally, 3D images will be projected onto large screens at the centres, offering customers a “virtual journey” to the deep sea and sharing messages about caring for the environment.
The CaixaBank Group said that it has experimented with other projects in the metaverse including a virtual reality bank branch.
The bank has also partnered with Microsoft to promote the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the financial services industry as well as to create new working environments in the metaverse.
