Deutsche Bank has rolled out a new on-premises AI platform across its investment banking and capital markets teams in Europe and North America.
The technology will be installed in partnership with technology company Farsight and aims to embed AI into client-facing workflows while keeping sensitive data within its own technology environment.
The bank said the deployment enables bankers to apply AI to internal documents, proprietary data and established working practices without information leaving the bank's infrastructure.
By running the technology on-premises, Deutsche Bank said it will maintain greater control over sensitive information while enabling AI to access the internal data and institutional knowledge needed to support investment banking workflows.
The bank added the approach allows AI to be tailored to its own processes and standards, while ensuring proprietary information and workflow activity remain within its technology environment.
The platform is designed to incorporate Deutsche Bank's existing materials, internal standards and team-specific processes, allowing employees to generate and refine presentations and other client documents through a conversational AI interface that learns from user feedback over time.
The rollout has initially been deployed across Investment banking and capital markets teams in Europe and the Americas.
George Tierney, managing director and global chief operating officer for M&A at Deutsche Bank, said: “Our teams have very specific standards for what goes in front of a client, and those standards vary from group to group.
“The platform gives our teams a way to apply AI to their own workflows and materials while operating within Deutsche Bank's technology environment. That combination of control and customisation is critical to making AI work in a global, regulated enterprise like Deutsche Bank.”
