FStech and Retail Systems have successfully staged the Payments Awards 2025, honouring the most innovative companies and individuals transforming the payments landscape.
The event, which took place on November 13 in central London, brought together leading fintech firms, established financial institutions, and industry pioneers to celebrate groundbreaking achievements across digital payments, fraud prevention, and financial inclusion.
The ceremony, hosted by acclaimed comedian and presenter Maisie Adam, showcased the breadth of innovation within the payments sector, from cutting-edge biometric authentication solutions to sustainable payment technologies and AI-driven fraud prevention platforms.

The awards recognised innovation across multiple categories, with several companies winning multiple accolades. Payabl. secured three wins, taking home Best Merchant Acquirer or Processor, Merchant Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year (alongside Sift), and the Women in PayTech Award for Ugne Buraciene. OSB Group & Publicis Sapient were also double winners, claiming Consumer Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year and the Sustainable Payments Award.
Verifone demonstrated its leadership in accessible and innovative technology, winning both Payments Innovation of the Year and Accessibility in Payments Award. Meanwhile, fintech disruptor APEXX Global was recognised for Most Disruptive Payments Technology, and Checkout.com won Best Use of AI and Data in Payments.
In the leadership categories, Hackelöer from Brite Payments received the Payments Leadership Award, whilst Sam Balla-Muir from Affinity Exchange was named Payments Rising Star.
