Lloyds partners Microsoft for digital strategy

Lloyds Banking Group is partnering with Microsoft to accelerate the banking giant’s £3 billion digital transformation strategy.

The new service will involve the development of Microsoft Managed Desktop, Windows 10 and an advanced device solution as part of efforts to provide a modern digital workplace for all Lloyds Banking Group employees.

Lloyds Banking Group has been working with Microsoft since 2017 in order to build and test the security and agility requirements of banking systems as well as using the cloud capabilities of Microsoft Azure.

The decision to roll out Microsoft’s technology across the business makes Lloyds the largest financial services firm globally to deploy this technology.

Jen Tippin, group people and productivity director at Lloyds Banking Group said: “We are delighted to support this new agreement with Microsoft, which will not only deliver great support for our colleagues, ensuring that we continue to transform our ways of working, but also help improve operational resilience.”

Cindy Rose, chief executive of Microsoft UK, said: “Becoming a truly digital organisation requires both technical and cultural transformation, which is why we believe close collaboration with our customers to understand their unique challenges and determine the best possible solution is critical.”
