Mercedes-Benz to launch new platform for car insurance subscribers

Mercedes-Benz Insurance Services UK is implementing a new digital platform for its car insurance subscribers.

Mercedes-Benz said the new technology would allow customers a “fully flexible” experience, offering a monthly rolling subscription policy without penalties or transaction fees when a customer changes car ownership or driving habits.

The platform is being delivered by Wrisk, which describes itself as the only independent embedded insurance technology platform dedicated to the global automotive OEM sector.

Existing Mercedes-Benz insurance customers are already being migrated to the new platform.
The company added that it will introduces a five-day first cover offer for Mercedes-Benz and smart car customers at point of vehicle purchase through the platform.

Ivor Wood, managing director Mercedes-Benz Insurance said that the company’s partnership with Wrisk reflects its “commitment to innovation”.

“Wrisk’s expertise in the digital insurance space makes them an ideal partner to help us deliver a seamless, adaptable insurance solution that enhances the ownership experience for our customers,” continued Wood. “Together, we’re setting a new standard in the industry, one that prioritises customer convenience and satisfaction at every touchpoint.”
