Nationwide to speed up mortgage process with new partnership

Nationwide is partnering with Twenty7Tec to enable advisers to more quickly receive a Decision in Principle (DIP) through the building society.

With Twenty7Tec’s solution, brokers will only have to re-key minimal data into the Nationwide for Intermediaries platform as up to 95 per cent of client data is transferred from their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform via CRM platform APPLY – resulting in increased and earlier certainty of acceptance.

Nationwide launched a pilot API solution for standard re-mortgage DIPs with Twenty7Tec’s APPLY in 2020 and this latest expansion will now allow brokers to process both standard purchase and re-mortgage DIPs.

The service was initially made available to Connells Group and Mortgage Advice Bureau brokers using APPLY, but a wider launch with other CRM platforms is underway before a full roll out is completed in the coming months.

There are also plans to expand the service further to allow brokers to process all mortgage application types, the building society said.

Andy Tilsley, intermediary digital relationships lead at Nationwide, commented: “By expanding the solution to include standard purchase and remortgage application types, brokers can now save time on more of their cases and get a decision in principle faster than ever before.

“Technology is key to improving the service we offer brokers and their clients both now and in the future, which is why we continue to look at expanding our API proposition further.”
