Paysend concludes $65m fundraise

Paysend has announced the conclusion of a $65 million funding round.

The international money transfer FinTech’s announcement follows a range of “strategic expansions” including the provision of digital payments for Western Union's global consumer business.

Paysend previously also partnered with Mastercard and Visa Direct on expanding its peer-to-peer money transfer services and cross-border payment functionality.

The Visa Direct partnership in 2022 enabled Visa’s US customers to send funds to eligible Visa cards in 107 countries and UK customers to send funds to eligible Visa cards in up to 114 countries and territories globally.

The latest funding round was joined by existing Paysend investors including Infravia Growth Capital, One Peak, and Hermes GPE Innovation Fund.

"This significant investment is a testament to the strength of Paysend's vision: to build the best-in-class cross-borders solution for businesses and consumers, making money transfer simple for everyone,” said Ronnie Millar, co-founder and chief executive of Paysend. “We are thrilled to welcome our new stakeholders, and we appreciate the unwavering support from our existing investors."

Paysend's latest fundraise builds on a previous Series B round, in which it secured $125 million aimed at accelerating the expansion of its global payments platform.
