Pouch Insurance launches multilingual AI assistant

Pouch Insurance has partnered with insurance technology platform provider INSTANDA to launch a multilingual AI assistant called Goodie.

Goodie generates a complete quote, which is then handed to the agent to finalise the sale.

Through the platform agents can also track sales, commissions, and handling renewals
The AI tool allows agents to handle 50 per cent more quotes, with Pouch saying efficiency has improved by 35 per cent.

The digital assistant can also communicate in up to nine languages.

Pouch said the multilingual capability of the tool is vital because the company serves many insurance agencies within migrant communities, which means it is important to be able to overcome language barriers and operate across time zones.

Following the implementation of Goodie, the insurance firm said that customer complaints have dropped by around 15 per cent.

“Goodie can collect critical information from the customer at any point in the conversation, just like a human,” said Gloria Guntiñas, co-founder and chief operating officer at Pouch. “This seamless information gathering means the conversation is more natural, less rigid and ensures accurate information capture of the most critical details at any point in the conversation.”
