Revolut brings ChatGPT Go to millions of retail banking customers

Revolut has partnered with OpenAI to offer ChatGPT Go to millions of its retail customers from Thursday, giving eligible subscribers between three and 12 months of the AI service at no extra cost as the fintech expands its premium subscription benefits.

The agreement gives customers access to ChatGPT Go's higher usage limits, file uploads, document analysis, image generation and memory features, which are powered by OpenAI's GPT 5.6 models. The offer is available immediately to most paid subscribers, while eligible Standard and Plus customers will receive promotional access over the coming weeks.

The free subscription varies by account tier. Ultra customers receive 12 months of ChatGPT Go and a 12-month Buddy pass, Metal subscribers receive 12 months, Premium, Revolut Pro and Revolut Mobile customers receive six months, while Standard and Plus users receive three months on a promotional basis.

Tara Massoudi, partner and general manager for premium products at Revolut, said: "We want to empower our customers with tools that are part of their entire day, beyond finance." She added that the partnership removes "the burden of fragmented monthly bills" while giving customers uninterrupted access to AI tools that have become "essential for everyday life".

According to Revolut, the partnership builds on its strategy of packaging digital services into its paid banking plans, which already include travel, transport, health, fitness, learning and entertainment benefits. The company said its subscription portfolio now represents a combined value of around £4,000 per year, positioning AI services alongside more traditional banking perks.

OpenAI said the agreement extends ChatGPT's reach to one of Europe's largest fintech customer bases. Emmanuel Marill, managing director for EMEA at OpenAI, said: "We're excited to partner with Revolut to bring ChatGPT Go to its millions of customers worldwide, so they can use AI to make everyday life easier." He added that the collaboration would enable more people to benefit from AI for tasks ranging from planning trips to learning and

The partnership follows earlier collaboration between the companies, with Revolut already using OpenAI technology for products including its AIR in-app assistant, fraud monitoring and customer support. The latest agreement forms part of OpenAI's broader strategy to distribute ChatGPT through major consumer and enterprise platforms.
