Revolut reaches 25 million customers

Revolut has announced passing over 25 million customers worldwide.

The FinTech said it is now processing over 330 million transactions each month and attributes the milestone to its continuing global expansion following this year’s expanded presence in the US.

The company said it has plans to move into further markets, including Latin America, South East Asia and the Middle East.

Revolut will also be launching Revolut Lite, a streamlined version of its app, in several countries across these regions in the coming months.

Revolut Lite will enable users to transfer money cross-border instantly and for free, the company said.

Revolut said customer growth is also increasing for its Revolut Business offering, with more than 2,000 new active businesses joining Revolut Business every week.

Launched in 2017, Revolut Business has developed more than 20 products designed to help businesses manage their finances more effectively. It has processed more than £110 billion in transactions for its business customers to date, the company said.

“We have continued to build out our unique product offering across the globe, expanding into new markets with new customers,” said Nikolay Storonsky, chief executive of Revolut. “We can’t wait to bring our product to many more in the weeks and months ahead.”

Revolut’s announcement follows its launch of products including a crypto spending mode in the UK and an account for freelancers in the UK and Europe.
