Santander launches home management feature

Santander has announced the launch of a new feature on its mobile app for its mortgage customers to assist with all aspects of their home.

The My Home Manager feature includes a dashboard where customers can view their home’s estimated value, which is updated every three months, alongside their mortgage balance allowing them to see an estimate of their equity.

Customers can use the feature to access their home’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to check its energy efficiency rating and view recommendations for how to improve their energy rating, an estimated cost and funding options for improvements.

Broadband deals and comparisons can also be performed in the app, and users can also get cost estimates and free quotes from local tradespeople in their area for home maintenance and repair jobs, book a job and track its progress.

Tracie Pearce, chief customer officer for homes at Santander, commented: “For most people, their home is their biggest financial investment and keeping on top of all the costs and upkeep associated with it can be a real challenge.”

She added: “We think My Home Manager provides a unique service for homeowners and its development has been driven by what our customers have told us they’d like to see.”
