UnionBank, a universal bank in the Philippines, has partnered with US cloud enterprise data management company Informatica to support its cloud migration as part of its digital transformation strategy.
The move aims to help UnionBank to gain an overview of customers and provide a personalised service based on a single real-time source of data.
UnionBank said its abilities to protect customers from fraud and money laundering will be improved while meeting regulatory obligations.
UnionBank recently acquired Citibank’s retail banking business in the Philippines, increasing its customer base to over 12 million.
“UnionBank remains committed to serve the Filipino community by driving technological innovation and adopting best-in-class, industry-leading solutions to deliver a superior financial services experience,” said Wilfredo Montino Jr., chief data officer at UnionBank of the Philippines. “By working with Informatica, we make trusted customer data more accessible to our users, mastered on a single AI-driven platform, and leveraging the cloud for scalability to match the growth of the bank.”
