Virgin Money adds pension product to investment platform

Virgin Money has added a new pension product to its investment platform.

In April this year, wealth management platform FNZ and Virgin Money partnered to create a digital solution aimed at making investments more accessible and straightforward for UK retail investors.

The outcome was an integrated online experience and mobile app for digital investing, with a number of investment funds to choose from.

Virgin Money said that its latest move will gives customers two distinct options – 'Navigator' and 'Self Drive' – adding that its pension has been designed with "simplicity in mind".

The new capability also enables customers to combine existing pensions into one.

In just a few simple steps, customers can transfer existing pensions into their Virgin Money pension, meaning they can gain a much clearer view of what their overall retirement income could look like and manage this all-in-one place, said the financial services firm.

Jonathan Byrne, chief executive at Virgin Money Investments, said: “We’re delighted to have launched a new pension proposition - giving customers the confidence to plan for a brighter retirement and feel in control of their money. Planning for the future should feel straightforward. That's why we’ve designed our new pension to simplify the path to financial security.”
