Yolt APIs extend Open Banking in Europe

Open Banking provider Yolt has announced that its technology services arm has extended its API connections across Europe with 80 per cent of Italian, French and Spanish banks now integrated.

Yolt Technology Services offers secure Application Programming Interfaces for financial institutions and tech businesses, reaching an average of 18 million API calls each week.

The company, which began life as a venture from Dutch banking giant ING, has now reached 90 per cent API coverage in the Netherlands and 95 per cent in the UK.

Following efforts to expand into further European markets, it has now integrated with Crédit Agricole, Société Générale, BNP Paribas, Revolut and N26 in France, while in Italy the APIs are used by Unicredit, Intesa San Paolo, Banca Monte dei Paschi, along with Banco Sabadell, CaixaBank and Santander in Spain.

Leon Muis, chief business officer at Yolt Technology Services, said: “Our ongoing expansion across Europe will help more businesses in different markets and sectors to invest in the future of their business and harness the benefits of Open Banking.

"Now more than ever, it’s vital that businesses use efficient technology and create a platform for future growth, and we’re working hard to empower companies to do that.”
