AJ Bell is set to launch a new, app-only investment platform for retail investors.
The Manchester-based brokerage said the new platform, named Dodl by AJ Bell, will have an annual charge of 0.15 per cent and no commission for buying or selling investments.
AJ Bell said the platform will offer an Individual Savings Accounts (ISA), Lifetime ISAs, and Pension and General Investment Accounts.
Customers will be able to set up regular investments and consolidate existing ISAs and pensions onto the platform according to the firm.
Customers will be able to fund the accounts via Apple and Google Pay, as well as via debit card payments and direct debits.
The platform will initially launch with access to a “range of popular shares” in UK-listed companies as well as AJ Bell’s own funds, and US listed companies will be added soon after launch according to the firm.
AJ Bell said it is aiming to launch Dodl during the first half of 2022, and it will sit alongside AJ Bell’s existing consumer platform AJ Bell Youinvest.
