Metro Bank has launched a new partnership with payments provider Elavon, giving its business customers access to a wider range of payment technologies designed to improve cashflow management and simplify how they accept payments.
The collaboration will provide businesses ranging from sole traders to large corporates with payment solutions across in-store, online and remote channels, including fixed and mobile card terminals, electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems, and online and telephone payment services.
The bank said the partnership is intended to help businesses better manage cashflow through real-time reporting, settlement options and payment insights, while supporting a range of customer payment preferences.
Through Elavon's platform, customers will be able to access reporting tools that provide real-time payment data alongside settlement information, helping businesses monitor performance and manage working capital more effectively.
Philip Byrne, head of cards and payments at Metro Bank, said the partnership forms part of the bank's wider strategy to combine relationship banking with practical digital tools for business customers.
“Metro Bank is committed to helping business customers manage cashflow and support growth with practical, innovative tools,” Byrne said.
“This partnership supports our relationship-led approach by combining trusted business banking support with practical digital tools that help customers run and grow their businesses, however their customers choose to pay. By offering an all-in-one system, customers can spend less time managing payments and more time running and growing their business.”
