Revolut launches crypto spending mode in the UK

Revolut is launching a feature which allows users in the UK and Switzerland to make any card a “crypto card” on the app.

The crypto spending mode enables customers to switch between the currencies they spend from, including digital currencies.

The FinTech also announced that it is expanding its cryptocurrency range to include almost 100 tokens.

The FinTech is adding 12 new tokens to the app, which will be available to customers in the UK and EEA.

The business has also introduced a new course to its crypto education range.

It launched its ‘Learn & Earn’ courses earlier this year to help customers improve their knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchains, and the most popular tokens and protocols. Revolut says that around 2.6 million people have completed the courses so far.

“When we introduced the ‘Learn & Earn‘ courses, we aimed to make the crypto world more accessible to a larger public,” said Emil Urmanshin, crypto general manager at Revolut. “The results exceeded our expectations and we are confident in the impact of the project. This new series of lessons, developed with the 1Inch Foundation, will bring to customers more clarity on different crypto concepts.

"At the same time, we are thrilled to see the rising interest for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology across different age segments and markets.”.
