SAP partners with Worldpay, Stripe on new open payment framework

SAP has announced the launch of a new open payment framework in partnership with several leading payment services providers (PSPs.)

The company said that SAP Commerce Cloud will be integrated with Stripe, Ayden, Worldpay, and Airwallex, as well as other PSPs.

Maria Prados, SVP, global enterprise go to market at Worldpay said that the move would "revolutionise" the way businesses manage their payment processing.

The no-code, low-code framework provides a payments system that covers common payment needs and end-to-end payment processes across authorisation, capture, refunds, and re-authorisation as well as automatic updates with security and compliance standards.

SAP said that the framework would also add on new solutions, including pre-built payment experiences available on SAP Commerce Cloud, composable storefront.

"By combining SAP’s industry-leading software with Worldpay’s innovative payment technology, we can provide businesses with a comprehensive payment ecosystem that optimises efficiency, enhances security, and drives growth," continued Prados.

Kyle Jenke, Adyen's VP, global head of partnerships, said that the integration is the first step of a larger strategic partnership with the goal of enabling digital payments for customers across a larger range of SAP solutions.
