Tim Parkes steps down as chair of FCA decision-making committee

Tim Parkes is stepping down as the chair of the FCA and PSR's decision-making committees after nearly nine years.

Alison Potter has been named the new chair of the committees.

Parkes is planning to stand down from the role later this year.

Potter begins her role on Friday, with a short transitional period alongside the outgoing chair.

"I am delighted to welcome our new Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC) and Enforcement Decisions Committee (EDC) chair," said Bernadette Conroy, FCA non-executive director and chair of the FCA Risk Committee. "Alison brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, including her experience of financial services and decision-making, which will enhance the capability and effectiveness of the RDC and EDC.

"Tim Parkes has provided almost nine years of outstanding leadership and service as RDC and EDC chair, and I would like to thank him for his commitment and dedication to the important work of the committees."
