JPMorgan partners with Visa Direct on faster payments

JPMorgan Payments has partnered with Visa to enable faster domestic payments in the US.

Through Visa Direct, the card company’s digital payment network, the collaboration will allow merchants, businesses, and FinTechs to move funds directly to recipient bank and digital accounts by using debt card credentials and other solutions including its Push to Card payment rail.

JPMorgan Payments currently combines treasury services, trade, card and merchant services capabilities to help its clients pay customers or employees around the world.

It processes over $10 trillion in payments daily, operating across more than 160 countries and 120 currencies.

“Visa Direct’s capabilities align strategically with our commitment to delivering innovative solutions to our clients,” said John Skinner, co-head treasury services at JP Morgan Payments. “By boosting our ability to deliver faster payments, we’re streamlining payment processes, enhancing liquidity management, and providing greater convenience for our customers.”

Last month, JPMorgan Chase announced the launch of a new digital media business which uses its financial data to offer customers personalised promotions.

The bank said that Chase Media Solutions seeks to combine the scale and audience of a retail media network with its first-party financial data and precise targeting capabilities.
