Four members of the TSB bank executive team will leave the lender in the coming months as it prepares for further integration with parent bank Santander UK, it announced this week.
The four are Cheryl McCuaig, chief information officer; Richard Lees, chief risk officer; Ariam Enraght-Moony, chief people officer; and George Gordon, communications and corporate affairs director.
Santander UK completed its £2.65 billion acquisition of TSB in May. At the time, the banks said they would remain as two separate legal entities until they were granted approval to integrate.
TSB is now preparing to start transferring some employees to its parent bank from the beginning of October, with the remainder of the business following in early 2027.
McCuaig joined TSB as chief information officer in 2023 and brought with her over 35 years in technology leadership roles across investment, commercial and retail banking. Enraght-Moony also joined in 2023, having previously headed HR for infrastructure investor John Laing.
Lees was appointed as chief risk officer in 2022. Prior to joining TSB, he led risk functions at Co-op and Metro bank.
Gordon is the longest serving member of the executive team leaving the bank, having joined in 2018 from Tesco, where he played what TSB described as a key part in its recovery.
Recently appointed TSB chief executive Nicola Bannister said: “Cheryl, Richard, Ariam and George have all played crucial roles in the executive committee in recent years, helping to deliver record TSB performances and putting us in the strongest possible position ahead of integration with Santander. On behalf of the whole business, I’d like to thank them for their outstanding leadership and wish them every success for the future.”
Bannister was appointed head of the bank following its acquisition by Santander UK, having previously served as TSB’s head of enterprise services.
