Mathew Harvey has been appointed head of digital solutions at NatWest Markets.
Harvey has been working at NatWest Markets for just under nine years, most recently as managing director - head of cross product sales and development.
Before his time at NatWest, he held the role of director - markets electronic trading at Deutsche bank.
NatWest Markets is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NatWest Group that offers debt financing, risk management, and trading solutions.
In his new role, Harvey is responsible for product development, business development, and enablement of all fixed income and FX digital solutions for customers and employees. This spans both traditional e-commerce distribution and innovative digital workflow and product solutions.
He takes over from Nick Pedersen, who is stepping down after nearly eight years at the company.
“I was immensely fortunate to lead hashtag#digital within the Investment Bank the past few years,” wrote Pedersen on LinkedIn. “We scaled revenue aggressively, launched products relentlessly and did it all with a big smile on our faces.
"In January I was very happy to hand the reins over to Matthew Harvey who will take the team and products on their next chapter. I want to thank everyone I've had the pleasure of working with during my time at the bank - clients, partners and colleagues. We built a terrific business within a wonderful institution.”
